Ahlawat Tour & Travels

Ahlawat Tour & Travels is situated in Rajendra Park, specifically in Rajiv Gandhi Wali Gali. It’s a bit of a tight spot because the lane is narrow, but we’ve managed to make it work for our business. We do travel bookings and provide cars for people who need them. Most of our customers are folks from the neighborhood who know us by name. The office is just a simple room with a couple of chairs and a table where we keep the schedules. It’s not polished or fancy; it feels more like a front room of a house. We spend a lot of time waiting for the phone to ring or talking to the drivers who hang out nearby between trips. Rajendra Park is a lively area, so there’s always something to look at out the door, whether it’s the neighbor’s kids or someone selling vegetables. We have a board where we pin up the duty slips for the drivers. Sometimes the handwriting is so bad we can barely read who is supposed to be where. We also have to deal with the cars needing repairs or cleaning, which takes up a good chunk of the morning. Rajiv Gandhi Wali Gali can get a bit muddy when it rains, making it tricky for the cars, but we just deal with it. It’s a small, local operation, and we just take things one day at a time here.
