Swathi Granite

We've been here on Krishna Nagar Main Road for a long time now. It’s a busy spot and things get pretty dusty with all the traffic passing by Swathi Granite every day. Most mornings start early around here, moving slabs around with the crane so we can see what’s actually in the stacks. It’s heavy work, honestly. We mostly just keep a variety of granite pieces that people usually look for when they’re fixing up a kitchen or a floor. Some days are slow and we just sit near the front, but other times it’s a lot of loading and unloading trucks. The yard isn't fancy or anything like that. It’s just a place where we keep the stone. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the pieces get buried and we have to dig them out. People stop in from the neighborhood mostly, just asking about prices or looking at colors. We don't have a big showroom with air conditioning, just the yard and the office area. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially when the sun hits the stone. We just do our thing, getting the measurements right and making sure the edges aren't chipped before anything leaves the gate. It is straightforward work. If you walk down 195-2, you’ll see us there. There’s always someone around to show you what’s currently in stock, even if we’re busy with a delivery or just cleaning up the scraps.
