Deekshitha Granites

Out here in Maddirala, just near Chilakaluripet, we have Deekshitha Granites set up. It’s a straightforward operation where we handle granite blocks and slabs every day. We don't have a huge team, just a few of us who know how to handle the stone without making a mess of it. The yard is usually full of different colors, depending on what we can source that month. People from around the village and the town come by when they are building something new. We spend a lot of time just talking to folks about what kind of stone might work for their stairs or their porch. It's dusty work, and the machines can be quite loud when they're running. We try to keep things organized, but in a stone yard, there’s always something being moved around. Chilakaluripet is a place where people value things that last, so granite is a popular choice for most houses. We’ve been at this for a bit, learning as we go about which slabs are the strongest. It's not about being fancy here. We just show you what we have and tell you how much it costs. There’s no pressure or big sales talk. If we have what you need, great. If not, we might know where you can find it. Working with stone is heavy, but it feels good to see a finished slab ready to be installed in someone's home.
