If you go to Sedam in Karnataka, you can find us at Quarter Number E-54A. This is a real industrial town, and life here revolves around the work at the cement plant. It’s a very specific kind of place to live and work. The air is always a bit heavy with the smell of the factory, and everything has a thin layer of dust on it. We live and work in the same general area, so your colleagues are also your neighbors. Our day starts early, usually with a walk over to the site or the office. The office isn't much more than a room with a few chairs and a fan that clicks. We don't have any marketing people here. We just know how to handle the cement business. We’ve been in Sedam for quite a bit, and we’ve seen the town grow slowly over the years. People here are hardworking and don't have time for fancy talk. We focus on the daily output and making sure the railway wagons or trucks are loaded up. Sometimes we gather in the evenings to talk about the day’s work or just relax after a long shift. It’s a simple, practical life in this part of Karnataka. We don't promise anything other than showing up and doing the work we are supposed to do. That’s just how it is at E-54A. We get the job done and go home.
