We are based in the Acc Colony in Wadi, which is in the Chitapur taluka of Gulbarga. If you come to Street 30/11, that’s where you will find us. Lalit Tiwari is the one handling the QA and QC duties here. The office is right in the middle of the colony, so it feels very much like a community. Because we are in the cement business, things can get a bit dusty around here, but that is just part of the job. Our main focus is checking the quality of the cement and making sure everything meets the right standards before it leaves. It’s a lot of testing and re-testing in the lab. The Karnataka sun is usually very strong, so the colony can feel quite bright and dry. We have been living and working in this area for a long time. The office itself is quite functional with all the testing equipment and sample bags lying around. We don't have much in the way of decoration. It is a place meant for work. We eat our lunch together and talk about the latest batches of cement. It’s a practical life. We follow the schedules and make sure the reports are filed on time. Living in the colony means work and home are never too far apart. We just do our part to keep things running smoothly for the company. It’s a simple, hardworking atmosphere here in Wadi, and we just get on with it.
