We’ve been here in Badepur Colony for a while now. The address is 14-88, right in the middle of things. Most days start early before the sun gets too hot, mostly because moving cement bags is heavy work and nobody wants to do that at noon. It’s dusty, sure, but that’s just how it is when you’re dealing with this kind of stuff. People come in looking for a few bags for a small patch job or sometimes they need enough to build a whole wall. We just keep the inventory moving and try to stay organized. The trucks come in and out through the narrow streets, which can be a headache sometimes, but we manage. My hands are usually covered in that grey dust by ten in the morning. We don’t have a fancy office or anything, just a desk and some chairs where we sit and talk to the regulars. Sometimes the neighborhood kids run by and we have to tell them to stay away from the heavy stacks. It’s just a regular local spot where we get things done. Nothing too complicated about it. We see the same faces every week, mostly local builders who know exactly what they need. We just pull the bags from the stack, load them up, and move on to the next task. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we stay late if a delivery is delayed.
