Orient Cement

Our office is over at 24 Balagi Nagar, right on the Old Jewargi Road in Kalaburagi. It’s a busy road with lots of traffic going by at all hours. We spend a lot of time looking out at the trucks and cars while we handle the paperwork for the cement orders. The area is quite dry and the sun can be really strong in the afternoons. Inside, it’s mostly just desks and stacks of order forms. We have a yard where the cement is kept, and it's a constant cycle of unloading and loading. Some days are slower than others, but usually, there's someone coming in to ask about a delivery. We know most of the drivers who come through here regularly. It isn't the kind of place where you’d find fancy decorations or air conditioning that works all the time. It is a practical space for a practical job. We talk to contractors and local guys building their own homes. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing and other times it is quiet enough to hear the birds in the trees behind the building. We just focus on getting the right amount of bags to the right site without making a mess of the schedules. Kalaburagi is a tough place for this kind of work because of the heat, but we have our routine down and we stick to it.
