We are based at Strt 25/11 in the Acc Colony, right here in Wadi. Gulbarga is known for its heat, and here in the colony, you definitely feel it. Our office for Acc Ltd isn't anything you’d call fancy. It’s a functional space where we handle the administrative side of the local operations. Because Wadi is such a big railway hub, our lives are dictated by the arrival and departure of trains. There’s a constant layer of fine dust on everything, but you stop noticing it after the first week. We aren't here to give sales pitches or use big words. We just manage the logistics and make sure the cement gets to where it’s supposed to go. The people working here have a lot of experience and don't need much direction. We start early, have our tea together, and then get into the mountain of paperwork that comes with running a site like this. It’s a very local atmosphere, with most of us knowing each other’s families since we live in the same colony. We don't have a mission statement on the wall; we just have a list of things that need to be finished by the end of the day. It’s a simple way of working that focuses on getting the job done right. If you ever visit, you’ll find a group of hardworking people who are just doing their part in a very large industrial machine. It’s a quiet but busy life in Wadi.
