Vishen Bricks

Down in Village Nyay Par, in the Pipraich Block, you’ll find us at Vishen Bricks. It’s a standard brickfield. My family has been around this area for a long time, so we decided to set up shop right here. Working with clay and fire all day is tough, but it's what we do. The site is usually busy with tractors and laborers moving back and forth. We don't really do any fancy advertising or have a big corporate team. It’s just us and a few workers trying to keep the fire going and the bricks coming out right. Sometimes the batches don't turn out perfect, but we sort through them to make sure folks get what they need for their construction. People from around the block usually just stop by the village to see what we have in stock. The road can be a bit bumpy getting here, especially after the monsoon season. We spend a lot of time checking the soil quality because that’s what makes a decent brick. It’s noisy and dirty work most of the time. We don’t mind it though. It’s a living. We just want to make sure the local builders have what they need without too much fuss. If you’re passing through the Pipraich Block, you’ll see our stacks from the road. We stay busy year-round, except when it rains too hard to work the pits and the ground gets too soft.
