Adarsh Bricks Field

If you go out to Patroda Goan, you will find us working in the fields. The air is different out here, more open but also full of the smoke from the kilns. Our official mailing address is through the Post Office in Karmdeva, which is a bit of a trip from where we actually sit. Most of our days are spent on the ground, literally. We deal with the raw materials and the finished bricks that come out of the fire. Adarsh Bricks Field is not a corporate setup; it is just a piece of land where we do the labor. We have a lot of people from the local area who come in to help during the peak season. It is honest work, though it makes your back ache by the time evening rolls around. We see the sun come up over the fields every morning while we start the first shift. There are no fancy computers here, just some notebooks to keep track of how many bricks are being moved. Sometimes the roads get muddy and it’s hard for anyone to get to us, but we stay busy regardless. We have stacks of bricks that go as far as you can see across the plot. It is just a part of the landscape in Patroda Goan now. We don't talk much about future plans, we just try to get the daily work done.
