Sandeep Bricks Field

It's just a small brick field here at Building No Nig 277. We've been in Sidharth Enclave for a while now. Tara Mandal is where we do most of our work. Making bricks isn't easy work, but someone has to do it. We spend our days out in the sun, getting the clay right. It gets dusty and the kilns are hot. People come by asking for counts and prices. We mostly deal with local folks building small houses or fixing walls. There's not much to it, just stacking them up and making sure they're fired properly. Sometimes the weather slows us down. Rain is the worst for the drying phase. We just wait it out. If you walk past Sidharth Enclave, you'll see the stacks. Sandeep Bricks Field isn't fancy. We don't have a big office or anything. Just the yard and the workers. We try to keep things moving. It’s hard to keep up when the demand is high, but we manage. Most of the neighbors know us. We've been at this spot for some years. It’s a lot of manual labor. Loading trucks takes time. We use the local soil mostly. It's a messy business, but it's what we know. If you need a few hundred or a thousand, we just count them out. Nothing complicated. Just bricks and dirt. The trucks come in early in the morning when the air is still cool. We start firing the kilns late at night sometimes. It's just the way things go around here.
