Satvik Bricks Field

If you head out to Jagdip Pur Balvan, right by the Gagaha post office, you’ll find Satvik Bricks Field. It’s out in the district area, so it’s surrounded by a lot of open land and fields. We’ve been working this ground for quite some time now. The soil here is what makes the bricks what they are. We spend a lot of time digging and mixing and preparing the mounds. It's not a clean job, and by the end of the day, everyone is covered in mud or dust depending on the season. My father started this field, and now we just keep it going as best as we can. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person to talk for us. Usually, it's just me or one of the boys sitting in the small shed near the entrance, waiting for the tractors to arrive. The Gagaha area is growing, so there are always new walls and houses going up around the district. We watch the weather closely because a heavy rain can ruin a whole batch of bricks that are out drying. It’s a bit of a gamble sometimes. We have a crew that lives nearby, and we’ve become like a big family over the years. We eat lunch together under the trees when it’s too hot to work in the sun. There’s no big corporate structure here, just a lot of stacking, burning the kiln, and making sure the trucks don't get stuck in the soft mud.
