We are based out of Saraiya, which is under the Gulariya Thana area in Gorakhpur. The company is run from Deep Chand’s place. It’s a very quiet, rural spot where you see more green than gray. Since we focus on agro-organics, we spend a lot of time out with the farmers in the dirt. It is not a job where you can keep your shoes clean for very long. We talk to the local growers about how they are planting and what they need for the next season. The office is really just a room with some basic furniture where we keep our files and samples of seeds. We don’t have a big marketing department or anyone in suits. It’s just us, usually wearing dusty clothes after coming back from the fields. Gorakhpur can get really humid, and that affects how we store the organic materials. We have to be careful with everything. Most of our day is spent traveling between different plots of land or sitting on a porch discussing the soil quality. It’s slow work compared to the city, but it’s what we know. We don't try to make it sound more important than it is. We are just trying to grow things better without using all those harsh chemicals. It’s a lot of trial and error, but we keep at it every day because the land is what we have. It’s a simple life out here.
