Kushawati Agro Farmer Producer Companylimited is based in Bhaisaha, which is in the Kushinagar district. The company runs out of Lilawati’s place. Most of us here have been farming our whole lives, so starting this was just a logical step to help each other out. We focus on the agro side of things, dealing with whatever the season brings. Kushinagar is a busy area for agriculture, and being in Bhaisaha keeps us close to the actual work in the fields. We aren't some big city firm with shiny offices. It's just a few of us trying to get the best out of the soil every year. Some weeks we are busy with the planting, and other times it's all about the harvest and where to send the produce. We keep our records at the house and spend most of our time outdoors. It’s not always easy, especially when prices fluctuate or the rain doesn't come when it's supposed to. We just take it day by day. People around here know where to find us if they need to talk about seeds or tools. We don't use any complicated systems, just hard work and a bit of cooperation between neighbors. It’s about making sure the local farmers in our bit of Kushinagar can keep their heads above water. We started this because we saw a need for a group that actually understands what it's like to work the land. It’s honest and simple.
