Vikash Garments

We are right at the corner shop near Allahabad Bank Gali. It’s a busy little spot in Jawahar Gate, especially on weekends when everyone is out. Being near Ghanta Ghar means there is never a quiet moment. People are always walking by, popping their heads in to ask for the time or directions to the bank. The shop itself for Vikash Garments is quite narrow, so we have to use the wall space all the way to the ceiling. We use a long pole with a hook to get garments down from the high racks. It’s a bit of a trick not to drop anything on someone's head. The floor is a bit uneven in the back where the storage is. We’ve been here at this Ghanta Ghar location for a long time. The paint on the door frame is peeling a bit, but we haven't had time to scrape it off yet. We usually open up early before the heat gets too bad. Most of the day is spent folding things that people have looked through. It’s just how it is in a retail spot like this. We have a small stool behind the counter, but nobody really sits on it much. There’s always someone coming in or a delivery that needs to be checked. It is a humble place, just a corner shop doing its thing in a crowded city without any extra fluff.
