Swad Pure Vegetarian

You can find us at the Konark Building in the RDC area of Raj Nagar, Ghaziabad. We have units Gf 4 and 5 on the ground floor. It’s a strictly vegetarian place because that’s what our family has always done. Raj Nagar is a busy part of the city, and we get a good mix of people coming in. During the day it’s mostly office workers, and in the evening we see more families from the neighborhood. I run the place with my two cousins. We didn't want to make a corporate-style restaurant, so we kept the design very simple. There are big windows so you can watch the street while you eat. We don't have a professional manager, we just handle everything ourselves. The kitchen staff are people we’ve known for a long time. We serve North Indian food and some snacks, trying to keep the recipes as close to home cooking as possible. We don't use too much oil because we know people want to stay healthy. Sometimes the music is a bit loud or a table wobbles, but we fix things as we go. We don't have a mission statement or a fancy philosophy. We just want to provide a place where you can get a clean, vegetarian meal without any fuss. The menu is just one page and we change it depending on what vegetables are in season. It’s just a normal, local spot for the community.
