Singh Garments

Singh Garments is over in Vikaspuri, specifically Shop No 80 A in Pocket A, right near the Outer Ring Road. Being close to the main road means we get a lot of noise from the traffic, but it also means people find us easily. The shop is a straightforward setup. We have a counter near the entrance and rows of clothes behind it. My father started this place, and now I handle most of the daily work. We sell readymade clothes for men and children mostly. It’s not a polished showroom with glass walls. It’s just a brick-and-mortar shop with a shutter that we roll up every morning. We don't use marketing tricks. We just show what we have on the racks. Sometimes we have a lot of stock, and other times the shelves look a bit thin while we wait for the tempo to arrive with new bundles. The Outer Ring Road is always busy, so there is always movement outside. Inside, we just focus on helping whoever walks in. We have a small trial room in the back, though it’s a bit tight. We don't have a big staff, just me and a helper. We handle everything from cleaning the floor to tagging the prices. It’s a lot of work but it keeps us busy. We like the routine of it all, even on the slow days when the heat is bad and customers are few.
