Silvia Apparel

Down in Avantika, Ghaziabad, you will find our place at Ae-167. It is Silvia Apparel, but to us, it’s just where we spend our whole day. We work with fabrics and clothes, mostly making sure the stitches are straight and the colors match what we expected. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a regular spot in a residential area. We have sewing machines running for hours, and the sound becomes like background music after a while. Sometimes the fabric shipments arrive late because of the traffic on the main road, which can be frustrating. We just wait it out and drink some tea. The light in the front room is the best, so that is where we do the detailed cutting. We are not a giant factory, just a group of people who know how to put a garment together. My desk is covered in thread and scraps of cloth most of the time. We try to keep things organized, but when we are busy, the floor gets messy. Neighbors walk by and wave through the window. It is a very local vibe here in Ghaziabad-201010. We don't have a big sign out front, just the address. People know us by word of mouth mostly. We keep busy with the orders that come in. It’s honest work and it keeps us on our toes every single day. We like the rhythm of this neighborhood.
