Our company is Samukh Krishak Producer Company Limited. We are located in Gulariya, Kisarua, which is over in the Budaun district of Uttar Pradesh. Hariom Singh’s house is where we keep our records and meet up. It’s a straightforward setup. We are just a group of local farmers who decided to pool our resources. Working in Budaun means you’re always busy with something, depending on what season it is. We deal with the crops and the livestock and everything else that comes with living on a farm. It’s a hard life, but we like it well enough. We don’t use any corporate jargon here because that’s not who we are. We're just people who know how to grow things. When we started this company, we just wanted a way to make the selling part a bit easier for everyone in the village. It can be confusing to handle all that on your own. We spend a lot of time just talking to each other about what’s working and what isn't. The 243601 area is our home. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who handle the main tasks.
