You will find our place right on the side of the busy GT Road. The sign above the door says Jagat Singh Harbhajan Singh, and it has stayed that way for many years. We are a family-run business and we like to keep things the old-fashioned way. The road outside is never quiet, with heavy trucks and cars rumbling past at all hours of the day and night. Our building is a bit older, with thick walls and high ceilings that help keep it cool in the heat. Inside, there are big wooden desks and stacks of ledgers where we keep track of everything. We do not rely much on computers; we prefer writing things down and keeping physical records. It is a business built on long-term relationships and knowing the people we deal with. We might be dealing in spare parts or transport, but the core of it is just being here every day on the GT Road. There is a small courtyard at the back where we sometimes sit for tea and watch the traffic go by. We do not spend money on fancy decorations or modern furniture. The chairs are sturdy and have been here as long as I can remember. It is a place where a handshake still means something. We just go about our work quietly and steadily, keeping the legacy of the name alive on this famous old highway.
