Narayani Traders

Narayani Traders is situated in Hapur Parklen, specifically in the Srinagar 716 area. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, but most people find us alright. The shop is filled with stuff we trade, and sometimes it gets a bit crowded inside. We have piles of goods everywhere, so you have to watch where you step. It’s a trading business, so things are always coming in or going out. My family has been doing this kind of work for a long time. We aren't looking to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the people who buy from us get what they need. The weather in Srinagar can be quite cold, so in the winter we are usually wrapped up in heavy sweaters while we check the inventory. There is no air conditioning or anything like that. We just have the doors open to let the light in. Hapur is a place where everyone knows everyone else’s business, so we hear all the local news. We don't spend money on advertising or fancy signs. Most people hear about us from their neighbors or friends. It is a very direct way of doing things. We take the orders, we pack the items, and we send them off. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late because of the narrow streets, but that is just how it goes here. We don't get stressed about it too much anymore. It’s a living.
