Niche Architects

Niche Architects is based out of Vasundara in Ghaziabad. We don't have a massive sign or a glass-fronted building; we’re just another part of the local fabric here. The office is where all the planning happens, filled with the smell of paper and the occasional bit of dust from samples brought in from sites. Working in Ghaziabad means dealing with a lot of different types of projects, and Vasundara is a convenient spot for us to keep an eye on everything. My desk is usually a pile of blueprints and notes that only I can really decipher. We spend our time figuring out how to fit everything a client needs into the space they have. It’s a lot of measuring and re-measuring. The atmosphere in the office is pretty relaxed, though it gets a bit tense when we have a big deadline approaching. We don't go in for much corporate talk. If someone asks what we do, we just say we design buildings. It’s a straightforward business. Sometimes the power goes out or the traffic in Ghaziabad makes me late for a meeting, but we just roll with it. The work itself is what matters, and being in Vasundara puts us right where the action is. We’ve been at this for a while, and the office has become a second home for us. It’s just a practical space for a practical profession, and that’s plenty for what we need.
