We've been here at D-569 in Govindpuram for a while now. It’s a busy part of Ghaziabad and there is always something going on outside our doors. Our space is filled with fabric and threads most days. It gets a bit crowded when a lot of work comes in at once, but we manage to keep things moving. We aren't a big flashy factory or anything like that. It's just a regular place where we get the sewing and packing done. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we all know each other pretty well. The morning starts with opening up the shutters and getting the machines ready. Sometimes the power goes out, which is just part of living in this area, but we just wait it out or find something else to do. We focus on getting the clothes made right rather than talking about it too much. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we're usually too busy with the orders to worry about that. It’s loud, there’s always the sound of sewing machines humming, and people are always coming in and out with rolls of cloth. We’ve stayed in this spot because it works for us and our neighbors are good people. If you walk past the building, you'll see us there most days from morning until late evening. It is just a plain, honest workspace where we do our thing every day without any fuss.
