You can find Maxim at 5/1218. It’s not the most descriptive address on the map, but we’ve been here for quite some time now and most people in the neighborhood know where we are. Our space is pretty basic and functional. We don’t spend a lot of money on decorations or high-end office supplies that we don't really need. Instead, we just put our energy into the actual work we have to do for people. There are only a few of us here, so we all end up doing a bit of everything throughout the day. One day someone might be answering the phones and the next they are helping with a specific project. It’s a very hands-on environment. We don’t have a big human resources department or a fancy board of directors. Decisions get made quickly over a cup of coffee in the break room. We like it that way because it keeps things moving without unnecessary delays or long meetings. The building we are in is older, but it’s sturdy and does the job we need it to. We have some loyal regulars who have been coming to us for years. They know we aren't going to give them a sales pitch. We just tell them what we can do and then we do it. It’s a straightforward approach that seems to work for everyone involved. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when we have a lot on, but we manage. We aren't trying to change the world, just doing decent work every day.
