Lalit Spices

Suhag Nagar is where we set up Lalit Spices. We are right near Sector-1, so it’s easy for people to drop by on their way home. The shop isn't very large. We have shelves lined with jars and bags that we’ve filled ourselves. It stays pretty busy because of the location near the main crossing. Most of the day is spent weighing out portions or talking to the folks who live nearby. We don't have a fancy website or a big office. It’s just a counter, some old scales, and the spice bins. The air is always thick with the scent of cloves and cardamom. Sometimes it makes you want to sneeze all day, but you get used to it after a few months. We’ve had the same sign outside for years and it’s starting to fade a bit from the sun. We don't mind much as long as people can still read the name. The floor gets swept a few times a day but there's always a bit of grit under your boots. It’s a practical business. We deal with the suppliers and we sell to the neighbors. There’s nothing hidden or complicated about it. We get some regulars who have been coming since we first opened the doors. It’s good to see familiar faces every day. We just try to keep enough stock so we don't run out when someone needs something for their dinner.
