Parmal Singh

I've been sitting here at the Ghaziabad District Court Compound for quite a while now. If you head over to Raj Nagar, you'll find us among all the other offices and people running around with files. It gets pretty noisy during the day with all the lawyers and folks coming in for their cases. Parmal Singh is just the name on the door really. We handle things as they come. Sometimes it’s slow, other days we can't even find a minute to grab a tea from the stall outside. The court compound is a busy place, plenty of dust and old paper everywhere. I started doing this because it’s what I know. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. Just some chairs and a desk where we get the work done. You see the same faces every day, mostly. It's not glamorous but it's honest. People stop by to ask for directions or help with some paperwork, and we do what we can. My family has lived in this area for years, so we know the shortcuts and which tea shop makes the best ginger chai when it rains. It's just a regular life here in Ghaziabad. We try to stay out of the way and just do the jobs people bring to us. If you’re ever near Raj Nagar, you might see me sitting there. It's nothing special, just a workspace for me.
