Kaushik Garments

We've been here at 21 Shastri nagar Market for a good while now. Most people around G Block know where we are, right near the main path. It’s a small shop, honestly. We open up around ten every morning, unless the traffic is bad or someone is running late. The shelves are usually pretty full of stuff we’ve picked out ourselves over the months. It gets a bit crowded in here on the weekends when everyone is out shopping, but we manage just fine. My uncle started this, and now we just keep it going day by day. We don't have any fancy displays or anything like that. Just racks of clothes and a couple of old fans to keep the air moving when it gets hot in the afternoon. Sometimes the tea guy comes by twice, sometimes he forgets. If you walk past the market, you’ll see our sign. It’s nothing special, just a regular place to find something to wear for work or home. We spend a lot of time folding and refolding things because customers like to see everything. It’s just how it is. Some days are slow, and we just sit and talk to the neighbors from the other shops. Shastri Nagar is always busy, so there’s always something to look at outside the door. We don't really do much advertising or stuff like that. People just know us from living nearby or walking to the metro. That’s how we like it, just simple and quiet mostly.
