S J Engineering

We are based at Plot No.-77 in the Udyog Kendra Extension-1. It is a good spot for an engineering workshop like ours. We have been here for a while and have seen many other shops open up in the Udyog Kendra area. Our place is not very big, but it has everything we need to do our work. We focus on engineering tasks, mostly involving lathes and welding. It is the kind of work that leaves you with tired arms at the end of the day. We are not a corporate entity with a lot of rules and polished floors. We just have a workshop where things get done. My brother and I manage the daily tasks, and we have a couple of helpers who come in during the week. We don't spend time on marketing or trying to sound like we are the biggest company around. We just want to make sure that whatever we build is what was requested. Sometimes the workshop gets a bit cluttered with scrap metal and old tools, but we know where everything is. On slow days, we might just sit by the door and watch the trucks go by. It’s a quiet life in a way, even with the noise of the machines. We don't use any complicated software; we just keep track of everything in a few notebooks. It’s a simple business, and we like the independence it gives us.
