Abdul Salam Handicraft

We are Abdul Salam Handicraft, located over in Kotla Sadat. If you are looking for us, we are right near the Ki Tanki, which is the big water tank everyone knows. It’s a busy little spot and we’ve been here quite some time. The workshop is usually full of dust and the sounds of tools. We make things by hand, so nothing ever looks exactly the same, which is just how it goes when you aren't using big machines. Sometimes a piece takes longer than we thought it would. Our family has been doing this kind of work for a long time, passed down from one to the next. The shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside. It’s just a plain building with a lot of stuff piled up inside. We don't have a website or anything fancy like that, just our hands and the materials we buy from the market. Most of the people who buy from us have been coming here for years. They know where we sit and they know we might be running a bit late on a Tuesday. The area gets a bit muddy when it rains because the drainage isn't the best near the tank. But we stay open anyway. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. We don't really have a sales team, just whoever is around to answer the door.
