If you ever find yourself walking down Baghpat Road near the Ashok Vihar area in Loni, you might see us around. We are Aamir Ali Contractor, and we’ve been working out of this spot for a good bit now. Most of our days are spent out in the sun, checking on sites or talking to suppliers about when the next load of bricks is actually going to show up. It gets pretty dusty out here, and the traffic on the main road doesn’t help much with the noise. Our office is more of a place where we keep our tools and sit down for a quick tea while we figure out the next steps for a project. It’s not a fancy setup. We have some old chairs and blueprints rolled up in the corners. People from around the neighborhood know us, and we mostly get work by word of mouth because we’ve been here so long. We deal with the usual headaches like rain delaying a pour or laborers not showing up on time, but that’s just how this business goes. We don't have a big corporate team, it's just a few of us making sure the walls are straight and the owner is okay with the progress. It’s hard work, and our boots are always dirty, but there is something good about seeing a building actually stand up after weeks of digging in the dirt and hauling heavy bags of cement.
