Out here in Barauli, life mostly revolves around the planting and harvesting seasons. We set things up at Om Prakash Dubey’s place in Badlapur because it was a central spot for many of us. Being a farmer in Jaunpur isn't exactly an easy path, but it’s what we know. We formed this company because we were tired of being the last ones to find out about anything useful. Now, we sit down together and figure out what seeds we need or who is going to take the harvest to the market. It’s a lot of talking and a lot of paperwork that none of us really likes, but it helps. You’ll see us around Badalapur most days, probably dusty from the road or the fields. The soil in this part of Uttar Pradesh is good if you treat it right, but you need more than just good soil to survive these days. We aren't trying to be some big city business with fancy suits. We are just local people who decided that we should probably have our own name and a way to handle our business properly. It’s mostly about making sure we don’t get left behind when things change. If you come by the address, you’ll probably find someone sorting through things or just catching a break. We take it one day at a time, making sure the work gets done and everyone gets their fair share.
