Chunar Farmer Farm Producer Company Limited

Our group is located over at Pl101/04 Hoc Chs Ltd on Thana Road in Old Pnl. Chunar Farmer is really just a bunch of local farmers who decided it was better to work together than to try and do everything alone. The office we have is quite small and sits in an old cooperative housing building. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't from around here. We spend a lot of our time sitting around the big wooden table talking about things like seed prices and when the rain is finally going to show up. The walls are covered in old calendars and charts we use to keep track of the harvest. It gets quite stuffy in the afternoons, so we usually end up moving our chairs out onto the balcony to get some air. We aren't a big company with a lot of money; we’re just people who know how to work the soil. Sometimes the printer breaks down right when we need to finish a report, and we all just have to wait for the repair guy from the city. Most of our days are spent coordinating who is taking what to the market and making sure everyone gets a fair deal. It’s a lot of talking and a lot of tea. We just want to keep our farms going for another generation.
