Jind Youva Shakti Sanghthan Vegetable Producer Company Limited

Out in the Jind area, specifically at 516 Ward No.7 in Bahia, you will find our group called Jind Youva Shakti Sanghthan Vegetable Producer Company Limited. Hari Singh is the one who takes care of things there. This group is a bit of a mix of people but we all focus on vegetable production around Jind. We wanted to call it Youva Shakti because many of us are younger and trying to bring some new energy to the way we farm. Bahia is our base but our members come from different parts of the ward and nearby too. Hari Singh’s place is usually busy with people coming and going, asking about seeds or sharing news from the market. We don't have a lot of money for big machines so we do a lot of the work by hand. It's tough on the back but it's what we know. We are trying to organize the vegetable growers so we can get better prices and maybe share some of the costs for transport. The paperwork for the Sanghthan is a bit complicated but we are learning as we go. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just a solid group of people in Jind who care about their work and their community. Every day is a learning experience for us and we just keep pushing forward, hoping the weather stays good for our crops this year and next year too.
