Upright Agri Fed Farmer Producer Company Limited is based in Jarun Katra, which is in the Kheragarh area of Agra. Harish Kumar Dubey is the person in charge of the place most of the time. Agra might be famous for the Taj Mahal, but out here in Kheragarh, it is all about the fields. We are far away from the tourist spots and the city noise. Our office is a plain building where we gather to talk about the potato crops and the mustard harvest. We are a federation of farmers, which basically means we are a bunch of local guys trying to get a better deal for our hard work. We don't have a big staff or a fancy setup with computers and desks. It’s usually just a couple of us sitting with the ledgers and a mobile phone that never stops ringing with calls from the mandi. The weather in Agra can be really harsh, so we talk about the heat or the frost a lot. We aren't some high-tech agri-startup. We are just people who know the soil and want to make sure the farming stays viable for our families. There is a lot of back-and-forth with the traders in the city, and we do our best to manage it for everyone. It’s a lot of paperwork and physical labor, but that is just how it is.
