Umarpur Organic Farmer Producer Companylimited is based in Bhatani, Pratapgarh. We operate from Umesh Pratap Singh’s location. The whole idea here is focused on organic farming, but we don't treat it like some fancy new trend. For us, it is just about getting back to the way things used to be done before everything got so complicated with chemicals. We are a group of farmers from the Umarpur area who want to grow things naturally. It is a lot more work, to be honest. You have to watch the plants more closely and find different ways to keep the bugs away. Our company is where we gather to share what we have learned. We keep our records in a simple office in the village. There are no suits or ties here. Usually, someone is wearing boots and coming straight from the field. Pratapgarh is known for its soil, and we want to take care of it so it lasts for our kids. We don't have a big budget for anything, so we just rely on each other. If one farmer has a problem, we all try to help figure it out at the next meeting. It’s a very hands-on way to run a business. We just want to produce good food and keep our land healthy.
