We are located right near the mini stadium in Robertsganj. It’s a busy spot especially when there is a match going on. Son Valley Bio-Energy Farmer Producer Company Limited started because a few of us here in Sonbhadra wanted to do something with the local crops and energy. It isn't a fancy office, just a place where we get together to figure out how to help the farmers around here. Sometimes the fans are loud and the paperwork gets stuck in the heat, but we keep at it. Most days involve talking to people who come in from the nearby fields. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. It’s just us. The road outside can get quite dusty in the summer months. Sonbhadra is a tough place to work sometimes because of the weather but the people are good. We handle a lot of the day-to-day stuff ourselves. If you walk past the stadium you will see our sign. It’s nothing special to look at. We spend a lot of time just chatting about the harvest and what the bio-energy side of things looks like for the next season. It’s hard work and it takes a long time to see results. We aren't trying to change the whole world overnight. We just want to make things work a bit better for the folks in this part of Uttar Pradesh. The office is usually open early before it gets too hot to think about anything else today.
