We are located at Satyawan Singh’s place in Hemdapur Tirath Raj Barsaini. It’s not a big building, just a spot where we gather to manage Singh Seva Farmer Producer Company Limited. Around here, farming is what everyone knows. We started this because doing things alone was getting too difficult for the small farmers in our area. Every morning, there is something new to figure out, like which seeds are available or if the transport will show up on time. The weather in our part of the country is always unpredictable, so we spend a lot of time just talking about the rain. It isn't a fancy operation with computers and desks. Most of our work happens right there on the ground or sitting in the shade outside. We try to help each other out with the harvest and selling. It’s a lot of manual work and sometimes the paperwork gets confusing, but we manage. People stop by all the time just to ask questions or share news about their fields. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just us, the local farmers, trying to make sure we don't get left behind. We know everyone by name and their families too. It is a slow process, but we keep at it every day because that’s the only way to get things done. Hemdapur is home and we stay busy.
