Sikhad Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are based out in Dhanaita, around the Domanpur and Khaira area. It’s a bit of a trek to get here if you aren't from around these parts. Our group is made of local farmers who wanted to do things a bit differently. We operate under the name Sikhad, but most people just call us by our names. The office is a small building near the main road in Khaira. It gets pretty hot in the summer, so we usually start our work early before the sun gets too high. We deal with all sorts of crops, depending on what the season brings. There’s no big boss here; we all just pitch in. Sometimes we have meetings under the big tree outside because it's cooler than being indoors. We talk about who needs help with harvesting and where we can sell the grain. It’s a very practical arrangement. We don't have any polished speeches or marketing tricks. We just show the quality of what we grow. The paperwork is the hardest part for most of us, so we help each other with that too. Domanpur is a quiet village, and we like it that way. We’re just a group of neighbors trying to make a living from the ground. It is hard and simple work, and that is exactly how we prefer to spend our days out here.
