We’re located at number 4 in the Deep Complex, right in the heart of Harola’s Sharma Market. Shoe Machines & Accessories is exactly what the name says. We spend our time with heavy metal machinery used for making footwear. The shop is full of spare parts, needles, and large components that smell like iron and grease. It’s a narrow space, so you have to be careful where you step. Working in Harola means you’re always in the thick of things. There’s a lot of shouting from the street and the constant sound of rickshaws. We don't have a fancy showroom. Most of our customers are people who work in the shoe trade and they know exactly what they’re looking for. We spend a lot of time cleaning parts and showing people how to fix their equipment. It’s greasy work and our clothes usually show it by the end of the day. We aren’t trying to be the biggest shop in town, just the one that has the right part when someone is in a hurry. The Deep Complex has its quirks, like the dim lighting and the old stairs, but it’s home for us. We’ve been here long enough that the walls feel familiar. It’s just a practical place for people who work with their hands and need their machines to stay running. We just focus on the shoes.
