We’ve been in Building No 840 in Chirag Delhi for a long time now. The building is an older one, and the lanes around here can be a bit tight to navigate when we have big rolls of fabric arriving. We make different kinds of covers, mostly for things people want to protect. There are sewing machines running most of the day, and the sound of scissors cutting through fabric or plastic is constant. It’s a simple setup. We have rolls of material stacked up against the walls and threads of all different colors everywhere. The light in the workshop isn't the brightest, but we make it work for us. Our team is small, just a few people who have been doing this for years. We don't really have a big fancy sign outside. Most people find us because they know the building or someone told them about our work. It gets quite stuffy in the summer months, even with the fans going full blast. We just sit at our stations and get the work done. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a big batch for a customer. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or office furniture. We’d rather just make sure the covers are stitched properly. It’s a quiet kind of life, just focusing on the needle and the fabric every day until it’s time to go home.
