Shivakola Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our group, Shivakola Farmer Producer Company Limited, is based out of the Mainbazar area where things are always a bit loud and crowded. We share space with Sonvir Singh over at Om Communication. It’s a practical setup because everyone knows where the market is and people are always stopping by to use the phones or get things sorted. We don’t really have a big corporate office with leather chairs. It’s just a desk and some chairs in the back of the communication shop where we handle our farming business. Being in the middle of the bazar means we hear all the local talk about prices and the weather, which is actually pretty helpful for us. Sonvir is around most of the time to keep an eye on things. We are just a bunch of local producers trying to make sense of the market together. Some days are slow and we just sit and drink tea while we wait for the rain or for a delivery to show up. It’s a basic life but it works for us. We don't spend money on fancy signs or advertising because everyone in the village already knows where Om Communication is. We just focus on the day-to-day work of being farmers and getting our products out there. It’s a lot of manual work and sometimes the paperwork gets messy, but we manage to get through it eventually.
