Samaksh Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited operates out of C/O Ranveer Singh’s place in the village of Sapara Bhanpur. We are a group of women who decided to get together to manage our farming work better. Being a Mahila or women's company means we have our own way of doing things. We meet up in Sapara Bhanpur, often at Ranveer Singh's house, to talk about our progress and what we need for the next season. It is a lot of hard work because most of us are out in the fields for a good part of the day and then we have to handle the company business in the evenings. The village is quiet but our meetings can get quite loud with everyone sharing their ideas at once. We don't have a fancy office with computers and air conditioning. We just have a few ledgers and some pens. Sometimes we sit on mats on the floor to go over the numbers. It is a very local operation and everyone knows each other’s families. The goal is just to make things a bit easier for the women farmers here in Sapara Bhanpur. We deal with seeds, fertilizers, and trying to get a fair price for our produce. It is a slow climb to get everything organized but we are sticking with it. There is always someone bringing snacks or tea to the meetings to keep us going. We just take it one day at a time.
