It’s a busy spot most of the time. We aren't a big corporation with people in suits. We are just a group of farmers who decided to team up. Dealing with the middleman was getting too expensive, so we started this company to handle things ourselves. It’s a lot of work on top of the actual farming, but it feels better to have some control. We meet up, discuss what we're planting, and figure out how to get the best supplies. The office is usually cluttered with bags of samples or old paperwork. We don't mind it much. It’s a real place where real work happens. We don't have a big philosophy or anything. We just want to make sure the food we grow gets to where it needs to go without us losing money in the process. Kausambhi is a good place for farming, but you have to be smart about it. We help each other out with advice and sometimes with labor if someone gets sick. It’s a community effort more than a business venture, even though we have the official name and all that. We just focus on the harvest and getting things moved on time. It is a long day's work, but it is worth it.
