If you go to Phase II and look across from the PNB Bank, you’ll find us at number 7. We’ve been working with sewing machines here for a long time. It’s a specific kind of job, fixing things or selling parts. People come in with old machines that haven't worked in years. We spend a lot of time with grease on our hands. It's not a clean office job, but it's honest. The shop gets a bit dusty because of all the metal and thread, but that’s normal for a place like this. Being opposite the bank makes it easy for folks to find us. We know most of the neighbors by now. Every morning we open up and see what the day brings. Sometimes it's a quick fix, other times it takes all afternoon. We don’t have a website or anything like that; people usually just hear about us from someone else. It’s just S D Sewing Machine, a small place in a busy area. We don't try to be anything we're not. There are parts scattered on the benches and machines lined up against the wall. It’s how we like it. Working with your hands keeps you grounded. We just keep our heads down and do the repairs. It’s been this way for a few years now and we don't plan on changing much.
