Rpradhan’S Food Products (Opc) Private Limited is over in Kasganj. Specifically, we are at Pilkhunipatiyali where Rakish Kumar runs the show. Since it’s an OPC, it’s a one-person kind of operation at the top, but we have a few hands helping out with the food products. We make things locally and try to sell them in the surrounding markets. Kasganj is where we grew up so it makes sense to be here. The building isn't anything special, just a place where we process and pack things. It gets quite busy and the smell of spices or grain is always in the air. Rakish is usually busy with the accounts or talking to the shops nearby. We don't have a big budget for advertising or making things look pretty. The packaging is simple and the office is just a corner with a computer and some shelves. Sometimes the machinery breaks down and we have to fix it ourselves because we can’t wait for a repairman. It’s a lot of long hours and sometimes we wonder if it’s worth it. But then a customer says they like what we made and it feels okay again. We just take it day by day in Pilkhunipatiyali. It’s an honest living and we are just trying to grow the business bit by bit without taking too many risks. It is just a small local shop trying to make ends meet.
