We are over here in Atwa, which is part of Nawabganj in Barabanki. It's a quiet place mostly, lots of fields around. Ramsaran Farmer Producer Company Limited is just us farmers coming together to make things a bit easier for ourselves. Narendra Kumar helps manage things from his place. Around here, we deal with the usual crops, mostly whatever the season allows. The roads get a bit dusty in the summer and muddy when the rain starts, but that's just how it is. We spend a lot of time talking about seeds and what the market is doing in Barabanki. It’s not a big office or anything fancy, just a room where we meet and figure out how to sell what we grow. Sometimes the electricity goes out while we’re trying to finish the paperwork, so we just sit outside. We try to keep things simple. Dealing with all the government rules for a company is a bit of a headache, but we manage. Most of us have been farming these lands for years. We know the soil pretty well. Being a producer company means we can buy stuff in bulk and save a bit of money. It’s better than working alone. We just want to get a fair price for the hard work we put into the ground. It’s not always easy, but we keep at it. Some days are long, but that is part of the life we have chosen here.
