Nanhoo Choudhary Farmer Producer Company Limited operates out of Sri Devendra Verma’s house at H.No. 1 in Nagawa Gai, Akhatiyar Pur. We are a small group of farmers who decided to team up. It’s easier to handle the buying and selling when you have a registered company, even if we are just working out of a home. We don't have a corporate office with air conditioning or fancy desks. We mostly meet on the porch or in the yard to talk about what needs to be done for the season. The name comes from one of our own. We all live around Akhatiyar Pur and have known each other for years. Our families have been farming this land for generations. This company is just a way to make the business side of things a bit more formal. It’s a lot of work, and we don't always get it right on the first try. We have to figure out the filing and the taxes as we go along. Most of our time is spent with the animals or in the fields anyway. Devendra Verma helps keep the papers in one place so we don't lose anything important in the shuffle. We are just local people trying to keep our farms going. We don't have any big promises or fancy words. We just work hard and hope for good rain and decent prices.
