Naglaman Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out in Mahokhas. We work from Satendra Kumar’s place. It is a quiet village area and we like it that way because it keeps us close to the fields where the actual work happens. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We are just farmers who decided to get organized so we could handle our business a little better. Maho Khaas is a small place and everyone pretty much knows Satendra. On a typical day, you’ll find a few of us sitting around talking about the soil or the cost of fertilizer. It isn't a high-speed environment. Sometimes we have to travel a bit to get supplies or to talk to the bank, but mostly we stay local. The building is simple and doesn't have a big sign out front. We write our notes in old ledgers and try to keep track of what everyone is growing. It gets dusty in the summer and the roads can be tough to navigate when the monsoon hits, but that’s just part of living in the countryside. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in India. We just want to make sure the people in our little corner of the world have a way to sell their crops without too much trouble. It is honest work and we do it the best way we know how.
