Lekha Singh Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of our place in Hirna Kheri. My name is Santosh Singh and my father is Kore Singh. We operate right here in Kamelpur Dhanaura. It’s not a fancy setup with a big sign or anything like that. We just use the house for the paperwork and meeting up with the other farmers from the area. We decided to get together as a producer company to handle our business better. It is hard to do everything alone when you are just one farmer. Now we can talk to people as a group. Sometimes it gets a bit messy with all the papers and stuff. We aren't experts at office work but we know our land well. Most days you’ll find us out back or down by the fields near the village. If you stop by the house and I’m not there, someone will know where to find me. We’ve lived in this village for generations and everyone knows Kore Singh’s family. We just want to make sure the farming stays profitable for everyone involved. It is a slow process to get things running right. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us doing the work. Most of the time we are out in the fields anyway.
