We set things up here in Kalyanpur Himkat Ali, which is just a small village tucked away near Nawabganj in Bareilly. It is not one of those big operations you see in the cities with glass windows and receptionists. Our work happens right where Vimla and Omkar live. Mostly, we spend our days looking at the crops and talking to the other farmers in the neighborhood. Some days are slow, especially when the rains are heavy and the roads get muddy around here. We just try to get the local produce sorted so it can get to the market in Bareilly without sitting around too long. It is a bit of a struggle sometimes, coordinating everyone and making sure the quality is decent, but we manage somehow. We aren't doing anything fancy. It is just about the seeds, the soil, and making sure the people who work the land get a fair shake for their hard work. You can usually find someone around the place if you have questions about the harvest. We don't use much technology, just our hands and some old trucks.
